Clemix BV ("we", "us", "our") is the company behind the Kidô-Alarm brand. We operate the website www.kido-alarm.com and sell the Kidô-Alarm — a wearable water & distance alarm designed to protect children. Clemix BV is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

When you place a pre-order, a regular order, or contact us, we may collect:

Payment data: processed securely via our payment provider (Shopify Payments / Stripe); we never store full card details
Order data: products ordered, order type (pre-order or in-stock), order date, estimated delivery, order status

Communications: any messages you send us via email or contact form

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)

We process your data on the following legal grounds:

Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): to fulfil your pre-order or regular order and arrange delivery

Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): to prevent fraud, improve our service, and send transactional emails relating to your order

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted third-party processors who help us operate:

Shopify Inc. — e-commerce platform and order management
Payment processors (Stripe / Shopify Payments) — secure payment handling
Shipping and logistics carriers — delivery of your order
Email service providers — transactional and marketing email delivery

All processors are bound by GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreements. Where data is transferred outside the EEA (e.g. to Shopify servers), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Order records: retained for 7 years (Belgian accounting and tax law)
Customer accounts: retained until you request deletion
Marketing consent records: retained until you withdraw consent
Support communications: retained for 3 years from last contact

11. Account & Password Responsibility

If you create a customer account on our website, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Please notify us immediately at info@kido-alarm.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We will never ask for your password by email.
